Remember the Japanese drama version of ‘You’re My Pet’ ? or ‘Kimi wa Petto’ in Japanese language?
In case you haven’t seen it, it is a Japanese drama aired in 2003 which casted the famous international Japanese actress, Koyuki and teen idol Matsumoto Jun of Arashi. Now, imagine the Korean version of it! Except that it’s not a drama but a movie. I’ve got to say – finally! And honestly, Korean adaptation of Japanese dramas or movies so far has been quite above expectations.

Last year, rumors were going around saying that actress Soo Ae and Kim Hyun Joong who acted in ‘Boys Over Flower’ were both on the casting list but it hasn’t been finalized any how. But I couldn’t imagine Kim Hyun Joong acting as the ‘cute pet’ in this movie.

However, it was finalize not until recently that instead of Kim Hyun Joong, another Korean actor Jang Geun Seuk will play Jun Matsumoto’s role as a ballet dancer who dreams on becoming a musical theater actor and choreographer but in normal life, a very free-willed, outgoing, cute and charming and when he one day he was beaten and put in a box in front a woman’s house, the woman decided to keep him as her pet. The female lead role is not yet decided, though.

This really funny romantic comedy will be directed by director Kim Byung Gon and scheduled to air this year.
